10 C’s of Evaluating Diamonds


Most people know about the 4C’s of a diamonds when purchasing this very important item.

People know about the Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat Weight.

I would like to intoduce you the 10 C’s of a evaluating diamonds. The other 6 C’s are: 5. Certificate, 6. Country, 7. Cost, 8. Crystalinity,  9. Care, and 10.Charisma of the stone.

Certificate is the type of laboratory such as GIA, EGL, AGS, HRD are good examples. Country refers were the diamond was mined and cut. Cost is the Cost per carat in comparison of other similar qualities. Crystallinity is the internal and external brilliance and florescence.   Care of the diamond would be how you’d store it or utilize the diamond. Charisma refers to the overall appeal of the stone and if it had provenance.
