Few have had the courage to pull off magnificent jewels like Elizabeth Taylor. She died today, Wednesday March 23 at age 79 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center here in Los Angeles. In her wake she leaves a legacy of films she helped to make extraordinary including Cleopatra, A Place in the Sun, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf, and National Velvet. In addition to her films, she leaves a legacy of jewels, thanks in large part to Richard Burton who was twice her husband and showered her with important gems.
